Top 10 Rowdiest College Football Stadiums

#1: Beaver Stadium has a crowd capacity of 107,282 people making it the second largest stadium in the U.S. and the 4th largest in the world. This huge stadium is tightly packed with fans who are very passionate and are die hard fans and can't wait to watch the nittany lions to crush their opponents and put up a show. Beaver stadium has one of the best student sections in the country. Opponents find it very hard to play in this stadium with all the screaming fans waving their white towels around. With Joe Paterno as the Penn State Head Coach the fans look to step it up another notch.

#2: Michigan Stadium is the biggest stadium in college football with the expansion in 2010 to bring it to 108,000+ fans. Perhaps one of the most storied programs in college football this stadium is what makes college football. This Stadium has held some of the greatest players as well as coaches in college football. This stadium is what makes Michigan who they are, probably one of the biggest reasons Michigan has the highest win percentage in college football.

#3: Neyland Stadium brings the fans to life. After 16 expansion projects, Neyland Stadium now has a capacity of 102,037 seats. This makes it the largest football stadium in the South, the fourth largest in the United States, and the seventh largest stadium in the world. Some of the craziest, fierce, and loudest fans college football has ever seen. This stadium has the best views in college football and has Tennesse River right next to it were fans arrive on boat some of the time. It's just a crazy sight.

#4: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, "The Swamp" is know for having the greatest environment in college football. Holding just over 90,000 fans per game, it is the 12th largest college football stadium in capacity. A lot of sports writers say it is the hardest environment to play in with nerve racking heat, noisy fans, and high humidity. The fans are always into the game. The chances of an opposing team winning here are extremly low especially since Urban Meyer arrived. Thats why this stadium and football program are so great.

#5: Ohio Stadium , "The Horseshoe" has a capacity of 102,329 and the sight of it is amazing. When opposing teams look around they know they are in for a long game. With so much history in their program it's not very hard for the fans to get into the game. The weather in "the horseshoe' always seems to bring the game alive. It has to be one of the most colorful and brightest stadiums in college football.

#6: Tiger Stadium also know as "Death Valley", has a capacity of 92,400. Tiger Stadium is commonly referred to as "Death Valley," because of its high level of cheering during games. The fans in "Death Valley" are easily the loudest and craziest fans in college football. During the October 6 2007 game against the Florida, CBS recorded 130 decibels, making this the loudest stadium. They don't call it "death valley" for nothing!

#7: Notre dame Stadium "The House That Rockne Built" has some of the most passionate fans college football will ever see.The capacity of this stadium is 80,000+ fans. So much tradition and history lives in the stadium, how can fans get bored in a stadium like this. With 11 national championships and 7 heisman winners Notre Dame Fans can't go wrong. The stadium is known for its view of "Touchdown Jesus", it's the stadiums most amazing sight. Don't forget about "Play Like A Champion Today." Every time the players enter the field they have to touch the sign stating those exact words.

#8:Autzen Stadium is an extremly loud and exciting place. Despite only having a capacity of 54,000 fans it is know as one of the craziest stadiums. In Autzen Stadium there is such an amazing blend of colors because of all Oregons different uniforms, it is one of the most amazing sights you'll ever see. The 54,000 fans act as if they are 100,000 fans, it's just insane.

#9: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum home to the trojans, has a capacity of 93,000 fans. Every year fans expect USC trojans to step it up which is why USC is so good. The Trojans have been the most successful team in the 21st century with three heisman winners and two national champioships. Los Angeles Memorial Coleseum has one of the most unique looks for a stadium. The fans are very dedicated and fierce.

#10: Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium was said to be "the largest sports facility of its kind in the Southwest with a capacity of 94,000 people. ESPN ranked the Texas Longhorns the 7th most prestigous college football program since 1936. Texas fans are so traditional and dedicated. With the arrival of Mack Brown fans began to get more and more excited with each year that passed.

Good to see Texas in your top 10. I think the rankings are pretty fair, though Oregon could probably have been left out in favor of OU's Owen field.

Having seen games in six of those stadiums I agree with Oregon, Tennessee, and LSU which in my opinion is the loudest stadium anyplace. Ara Parseghian (Notre Dame coach) once said that you have not experienced college football until you have seen a game at Baton Rouge on a Saturday night. Michigan, USC and Texas are too open to be that loud. The sound just don't linger at the field level. Nebraska would be higher also but it too is just too wide open.....just my humble opinion
