The Superbowl Was Rigged
Let me start off with some penalties that should have been called. Big Ben, as you all know, is a great QB. There's no denying that. You must give credit where it is due. His offensive line, they're great too. BUT. There comes time where every offensive linemen will get burnt at the line and the defense will rush the quarterback. When this happens, the quartback must get rid of the ball quickly. Many times, he'll try to find an open reciever but if there are none, he'll try to just get rid of the ball. With that said, you're not allowed to intentionally throw the ball at the ground before the line of scrimmage. Especially when inside the pocket. Ben Roethlisberger did this a few times and did not get penalized for it. That is uncalled for.
Meanwhile, the Steelers are trying to attempt a field goal and one of Arizona's men clobbers the HOLDER after the kick. What the hell kind of call was that? If i'm not mistaken, that guy holding the ball for the kicker gets hit all the time and not once before have I ever seen a penalty be called for it until Superbowl XLIII. That's the first of a few calls that were called and shouldn't have. Oh, and here's another....Roughing the passer. There were definitely a few of those that shouldn't have been called.
The thing that ticks me off the most is that the officials chose not to review the "fumble" on the Cardinals' last drive of the game. Now, clearly, his arm was moving forward, but the officials chose to let it go as a fumble, probably because they wanted the game to just be over with already. I think that with those 20 seconds or so left, Warner definitely could've gotten into the endzone. He's a solid quarterback...but that's not what this is about here is it. It's all about the money. This No Fun League has been transformed from a game where football was the key entertaining aspect and concern to a game where they want to make as much money as they possibly can. We see that not only with how games are officiated but with how some of the players act as well.
The Arizona Cardinals are a great team, otherwise they wouldn't have made it that far, but the Pittsburgh Steelers were "obviously" the better team. If Arizona wanted that championship ring as bad as anyone else should, they probably should've gotten things started a bit sooner. They have all of the necessary weapons to win games, as we've seen all season long. What they need to do is start utilizing those weapons to their full capacity. Maybe then they'll be a Superbowl Champion team.
You didn't think I was only gonna bag on the champs did you???

but you have to make an attempt to throw the ball either towards a receiver or past the line of scrimmage.

Dude, I don't what game you were watching, but from what I saw, Big Ben was clearly outside the pocket when he threw those balls out. And another thing, anyone hit after the fact is considered unnecessary roughness and it was called numerous times during the regular season, especially on the Eagles and Lions. There wasn't a need to review the fumble because it was very clear that the ball was fumbled. Your claim that the SB was rigged is not dumb, its clearly retarded. The refs did a great job on calling the game and called it right down the middle. This game was won on who was going to make the big play when it counted most and it showed.
