	Padilla pitched seven scoreless innings against the Cardinals on Saturday to complete the three game sweep. Padilla gave up four hits and struck out four. George Sherill and Jonathan Broxton pitched in relief. The veteran right-hander, who was released by the Rangers in August, had never pitched in the postseason. It was his longest start with the Dodgers.

	Happ was knocked out of Game 2 of their division series against Colorado on Thursday after he was struck in the knee by a line drive in the seventh inning. Happ sustained a lower left leg contusion. X-rays were negative. Happ faced only one batter in Thursday's game. Colorado pinch-hitter Seth Smith hit a hard shot straight off Happ's leg for an infield single. The Phillies trainer immediately came rushing out and Happ left the game for Scott Eyre. Happ went 12-4 for the Phillies this year and made 23 starts. He relieved Joe Blanton, another member of Philadelphia's rotation who was used in relief. Happ and Blanton are both candidates to start Game 3 on Saturday at Colorado.

	Corpas' return this season still remains questionable following right elbow surgery. He's currently throwing in the Arizona Instructional League. Corpas, who hasn't pitched since July 20, has been on the disabled list following surgery to remove bone spurs from his throwing elbow. It's possible he'll be available to help the Rockies late in the regular season or in the playoffs should they advance.

	The Minnesota Twins have taken Tolbert off their division series roster due to a strained left oblique muscle. Tolbert was injured on a check swing during a second-inning at-bat in Game 2 against the New York Yankees. He remained in the game Friday night and hit what should have been an RBI single with two outs in the fourth inning, but baserunner Carlos Gomez was tagged out before Delmon Young could score. Brendan Harris, who will start at third base in Game 3, hit for Tolbert in the sixth inning and came through with an RBI triple.

	Moyer is recovering at a Philadelphia hospital from a blood infection. Moyer's wife, Karen, said in an e-mail to The Associated Press on Saturday that her 46-year-old husband is fine now after an infection following abdominal surgery. Moyer was expected to stay another night at the hospital. He had surgery last week on tendons in his left groin and lower abdomen. Moyer went 12-10 with a 4.94 ERA in 30 appearances this season.

	The Minnesota Twins have put Tolbert on the disabled list with a strained a left oblique muscle. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said on Saturday that Tolbert was injured on a check swing during a second-inning at-bat of Game 2 of the American League division series against the New York Yankees. Tolbert remained in the game Friday night and hit what should have been an RBI single with two outs in the fourth inning, but baserunner Carlos Gomez was tagged out before Delmon Young could score. Brendan Harris, who will start at third base in Game 3, pinch hit for Tolbert in the sixth inning. Gardenhire said Tolbert will be replaced on the roster by Brian Buscher. He hit .235 with two home runs and 12 RBIs in 61 games for the Twins.

	Bulger believes his sore right shoulder won't keep him out of Los Angeles' playoff series against Boston. Bulger received a cortisone shot in his shoulder Sunday, one day after leaving a game against Oakland with tightness. He apparently has tendinitis in his biceps. Bulger planned to throw in the bullpen during Tuesday's workout before the Angels decide whether he'll be available this week, but the reliever says he's "very convinced" he'll be ready.

	Tolbert has left Game 2 of their division series against the New York Yankees because a strained left oblique muscle. Tolbert was lifted in the sixth inning Friday night for pinch-hitter Brendan Harris, who hit an RBI triple off the wall in left-center to give the Twins a 1-0 lead. Tolbert was 1 for 2 in the game and is 1 for 5 in the series.

He came up big for the Rockies in clutch situations down the stretch, knocking in 17 of his 31 RBIs in September. When Torrealba's two-run homer sparked Colorado to a 5-4 win over Philadelphia in Game 2 on Thursday, it was a special moment. His son wanted every detail about his dad's first long ball since May 6. "He's like, 'You were due because it's been so long since you hit one,'" Torrealba said, laughing. "Don't get me wrong, I was talking to him when he was in Venezuela, too. But it just wasn't as often."
