Bale has been assisted off the field after injuring his right leg on his first pitch against the Los Angeles Angels. Bale entered Friday's game with two on and one out in the eighth inning, replacing Jamey Wright with the Royals leading 1-0. He appeared to catch his right cleat in the dirt on his follow through, locking his knee straight. The right-hander grimaced immediately and doubled over in pain on the infield grass. He tried to walk, but needed help to walk back to the dugout.
