Whiteside had a career-high three hits and drove in three runs in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Diamondbacks while subbing for starting catcher Bengie Molina.

If Molina doesn't return for the 2010 season, Whiteside and Buster Posey - the team's 2008 first-round draft pick who hit .325 with 18 homers and 80 RBIs in the minors this year - will take over behind the plate.
