Yes, I am seriously considering it. It turned from a funny joke, to a thought, and into a serious desicion.
Witten hasn't put up doubble digit fantasy points all year and has only found the endzone one time. He has been shut down in Romo's offensive game.
I am thinking of dropping him for Kellen Winslow.
Other TEs on waivers include:
Benjamin Watson
Greg Olson
Kevin Boss
I am 5-5 in 6th place in my league. We play 14 regular season games then top 4 go to playoffs and we do week 15 as playoffs and week 16 as superbowl. (No week 17 because some key players on good teams are benched because they don't need them and don't wan to risk playing them).

Winslow has actually had the better year. Has your trade deadline passed yet? Im guessing that you could still trade him for a decent return

You could try and swap him for a TE or an upgrade over Cotchery and then drop him for Winslow. Or Package him with Cotchery for a better WR.
Im not saying hes bad but that would be my advice where you could probably land a better WR and that would still leave you an open spot to grab Winslow and fill the TE position.
I got Olson. Also, look at this luck. Because I didn't use my waiver to get Winslow, Roddy White was dropped and I have 2nd waiver order and the guy with first is never on. Yuppy!!!

Sure. Nothing wrong with dropping Witten when there are a bazillion more productive TEs.
I have Witten....... I normally don't draft TEs till like round 10 at least....but Witten fell to me at the very end of round 4 and i was super stoked. f'ing bastard!

Kevin Boss could be a sneaky play this week. Both Eli and Boss were a little banged up recently but are coming off a bye and playing a weak defense in Atl.
I'd probably pick up Olson. I think he is the most reliable reciever on the Bears team. Hester and Knox have tons of talent but they are inconsitent and at this point, very bad route runners. If I were Cutler, I'd look for Olson more.
But all 4 TEs are decent. I wish I had those options. =)
