Is the predicted number of people that are attending the all-star game

THIS SHATTERS COLLEGE BASKETBALLS highest # of people attending by at least 15K.

Who said the NBA was a dying sport?

NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND IS JUST ONE HUGE PARTY.

EDIT: Other places are saying that the sales could actually BEAT THAT number.

WOWOWOWOWOWO World Record in the making, folks.

Mark Cuban was hoping for 105,000. previous record was around 42k.

It beats the record set by college basketball.

This seems to have a lot more to do with Jerry Jone's play palace then it does the actual game.

Its all about the venue they play in, if a big game is played in a stadium that holds 70 K, they will fill it, if they played in one that held 100 K, they'd fill that. These things are pretty meaningless sometimes.

I don't like the all-star game because a player like AI gets a starting spot just cause. I can think of at least two other point guards in the east that deserve that spot wayyy more.

Anybody else in the EC deserved that spot over Allen Iverson. Any other choice would have been a better choice.

If you put the National Championship Game in that stadium then it would easily hit the same number.

False, the Natl Champ game would EASILY fill that stadium, 92 K doesnt fill Dallas Stadium!

This is funny, is SU would open up the whole dome for the Nova game, they would probably get 50K for a regular season game. They sold out 2 weeks ago for nearly 35K.

Because it's DALLAS STADIUM.

It's not like 92k people would go see the game in New Orleans or Staples Center

Who says the NBA is dying???? Thats a ridiculous statement. I don't think any non-idiots are making those kinds of statements.

And the records seems like its due to the venue more than anything else. I'm curious what the TV ratings will be more than the tickets sold....cuz I would give up a lot to be at the all-star game....but i might not even watch it on TV. the fun of the allstar game is being there....otherwise, the actual game itself is usually pretty boring.

If you give college basketball an arena that big I'm sure the fans will come out.

cuz it's in Jerry World....I don't think any other NBA arena can fit that many people. It's more about the arena than the NBA itself.

It's the venue. Build it and they will come. Jerry built it.

I don't know why. There's at least 3-4 key athletes that aren't even playing in the game.
