I figure many people will probably say Kiki Vandeweghe because the Nets are 4-46 but as someone who is a die-hard Warriors fan & watches every game, I truly believe it is Don Nelson. He is flat out dumb. "Nellie Ball" does not coincide with this generation of ball players. I think the Nets biggest problems is that none of their guys seem to play well together, the Nets might as well pick 4 random fans out of the crowd to play with Brook Lopez, because those guys act like they have never met each other before. The Warriors have great team chemistry. Monta Ellis, Corey Maggette, and Stephen Curry are a dynamic trio, Don Nelson is just an idiot. I don't know much about Vandeweghe as a head coach, but what do you all think of this? Is he the worst coach in the league? Is Don Nelson? Or do you think somebody else is?

Your name still confuses me.

However, its hard to call Nellie the worst coach in the NBA. Name me another coach who could do anything with 6 D league players (Tolliver, Hunter, Karl, Watson, Azibuike, and Watson). Then you've got the fact that the Warriors are the most injured team in the league.

Wright - Season
Randolph - Season
Buike - Season
Bell - Still a month away
Maggette - Out
Ellis now - Left knee
Vlad - Out

Seriously, the guy does the best that he can with the crap he is given each night. We haven't had a full line-up all year.

Quit trippin about my name. I have been a Chris Hunter fan since he played for Michigan in college.

Believe me, you don't have to try and prove to me that the Warriors have been killed by injuries this year. I am very aware & it has been horrible. But seriously. Nelson is just lazy. Before the game, Don Nelson said that recently Stephen Curry has been suffering from fatigue and it's affecting his play. The Warriors had a 9 point lead at Halftime and at one point early in the 3rd, they were up by 14. Curry played all 48 minutes. When you have that big of a lead, why not rest your starters for a while so they are re-charged for the 4th Quarter? No, instead Nelson keeps playing all of them. The result? Monta gets injured & the Warriors lose by 10 and it is ALL Nelson's fault.

Well no shit fatigue is going to effect their play.

You need to run the best players and the fact of the matter is that his best players NEED to run that much time. We ain't got shit for depth anymore.

I'm surprised we've got 11 in.

Also, you can't blame Nelson for what happened to Ellis. We still had a chance in that game when Ellis got injured.

Devean George and Coby Karl were never even used. You may not like them, but they are fine Bench players for 6-8 minutes. Also, Hunter & Watson only got a combined 7 minutes....Nelson had options. "You need to run the best players and the fact of the matter is that his best players NEED to run that much time." You just proved why I can blame Nelson. If he had given Monta a few more minutes rest, he might not have gotten injured and the Warriors could have won.

Devean George was out with the flu tonight. =)

As for Coby Karl, that's completely up to Nellie how he chooses to use him. He had one huge game and I honestly haven't heard anything else from him.

You can't blame Nelson for something you THOUGHT could have happened. You're really going to rest your best player with under 4 min left in a tight game? That makes no sense.

Hunter isn't that good, really. Watson was in foul trouble most of the time too. He had 3 fouls in 6 min. I wouldn't play him either.

I figured something was wrong with Devean...that seemed too easy.

Maybe so, but I never understood the Karl signing in the first place. Cartier Martin was a much better shooter anyways.

No no I'm not saying in the 4th. I'm saying Nelson should have benched guys in the 3rd Quarter....when they had that 13 point lead. He only needed to bench Curry & Monta for 5-6 minutes and that would have really helped them. It is very unlikely that CJ would have fouled out in those few minutes he would have subed in.

And as for Big Chris, he is not utilized in a way that showcases his talents, just like Turiaf isn't either. In College & the D-League, Chris was always a shooter. Defense is his weak spot, he is an offensive player because he was always used as a Chris Kaman type player and the Warriors expect him to come in and never take shots so its tough to shot what he does.

In December I would have said Jay Triano and not thought twice about it. I think he still has to be in the discussion but I'm not sure who I would go with now that Dunleavy has finally been fired in LA.

Yeah he deserves Honorable Mention. As does Reggie Theus. The Kings have a pretty good amount of talent but they are just gone

Of the top teams, it has to be Mike Brown. That guy is an idiot. Overall, I would have to think more closely about it.

Definitely agree with that call. If you had to choose between just Kiki & Don Nelson, who would you say?

Probably Don Nelson. You can't honestly blame either guy though. Both the Nets and the Warriors suck. I am still thinking about who the worst coach is...

The Warriors have a lot of talent, they really do. I truly believe that if Oracle CEO Larry Ellison buys the team, rapid change will come and the Warriors can get a low seed in the next couple of years. Don Nelson needs to be pushed down a flight of stairs, along with Larry Riley. Promote Keith Smart to head coach & consider re-evaluating the other coaches, but other than that, get rid of everyone in power.

Some people think Don Nelson is a great coach, but I just don't buy into his unorthodox and weird ways of coaching. I don't think that his philosophies apply to the type of basketball that is being played nowadays. We also have to take into account that he doesn't really have that many valuable pieces on that team though.

Root for a great comment. You literally quoted me on how I feel about Nelson. His weird hangup about not playing Rookies pisses me off beyond belief. If Kelenna Azubuike had never gotten injured, Stephen Curry would NEVER play...Nelson has said that before. He only plays him because he has to. I agree, he is rather weak on blue-chips but that takes me back to Larry Ellison. Chris Cohan (Current owner) and Larry Riley are both idiots. Larry Ellison however has a different approach that I think the Warriors could truly benefit from. He has a Steinbrenner approach. "Let them charge me Luxury Tax...who gives a fuck Im going after Chris Bosh & LeBron!!" The Warriors need someone in power who can run things like that....someone not afraid to reach into their pocket for a couple key Free Agents.

I guess he is a good coach, but he will never be a good coach for the Warriors. I don't think he knows how to maximize his potential on a team like the Warriors. He needs and established, veteran team I think.

Despite the Cavs great record i'm gonna say Mike Brown. His knowledge of the game seems very limited during interviews. His play calling is below average, and he can't control his emotions. He in no way deserved coach of the year last season. Yes the Cavs had the best record, but there were at least 10 better coaches. IMO it'd be kind of sad if his team wasn't as good as they are, seeing as how they have the best player in the NBA. When LeBron leaves his flaws will be exposed heavily then he's GONE!

I actually have to agree with this. If he were the head coach of any other team that didn't have LeBron I'm not sure he would be that good.
