48 points last night against New Orleans, but not many people will see the real story behind it.

With less than 10 seconds left in the game, Orlando gets the ball back and puts the hands in the ball of Vince. With the opportunity to grab 50 right there, he pulls up and shakes his head no while dribbling out the clock to preserve the 6 point victory at home.

As much as he would have loved to score 50 for himself, he put his team and his showmanship before his own personal achievements. Classy move right there.

Yeah that was pretty classy of Vince. That reminded me of when Brian Westbrook took a knee right before he got to the end zone a couple years ago in an Eagles game to secure the win.

That's like saying "Ehh, it's not like I've ever had sex before."

The legs of the ho were open, but he decided to represent his family (of choice) and walk away a winner, knowing he'll beat it up again eventually.

Vince is really starting to get into the flow of the offense, despite not really being in it at all for a while. This is going to make the Magic very scary.

Yes.

I really don't care what people think or say about Vince. All I know is that after seeing the Finals last year, you guys didn't scare me at some point because you didn't have that guy that could take over the game in critical situations. I was fine with Hedo or Pietrus trying to create something off the dribble.

Playoffs are all about matchups (just like the Cavs, as good as they were...they couldn't matchup with the Magic)...and whether Vince ever got it or not wasn't that big a deal to me. You needed someone like Vince that could put you over the top.

I'm already getting ancy for the playoffs.

Yeah, I agree. Turkoglu was great because he was always in the flow of the offense, but he wasn't much of a go-to scorer. Any Cavs and Lakers fans who watched last night's game should be horrified: Vince was scoring in every way imaginable.

Well, every way except DUNKING haha. I'm not sure if he even had a dunk in that game.

Vince Carter was ridiculous last night....but the days of "Vincesanity" are gone.

I'll say it was a little worrisome seeing Vince do what he did...but then again, I was in favor of the move and last night was the reason why...so his outburst wasn't necessarily unexpected. My issue with Vince is , is he gonna have the mental fortitude to succeed? Vince has never capitalized on his potential and talent. (him and Tmac both..... both are more naturally talented and gifted than Kobe...and yet neither even came close to touching Kobe and what he's done.).

The great ones "will" themselves to get that ring. Not unlike what Vince did last night. But we'll see if he can keep it up in the playoffs.
