This was Howard's way of saying that Carter finally showed up, after doing basically nothing in the other games.

haha thats a good one. why would Dwight say that after Vince had such a sick game tho?

anyways, ive been hearing all night and morning online and on the radio that "Vincesanity is back"

as I wrote in another thread....VINCESANITY is NOT back. Vince Carter had a really incredible game....but that wasn't Vincesanity. Vincesanity was the guy that had 2-4 highlight plays every game....Vincesanity would have like 2-3 of the top 5 plays of the day on Sportscenter....Vincesanity had in game dunks that players couldn't do in a dunk contest and had NBA players in awe and left open mouthed cuz they've never seen the sht Vince would do....Vincesanity jumps over 7'2 french dudes and thunders down a monster jam.

Sorry, but Vincesanity is in the past and long gone.

Maybe he said that because he FINALLY showed up. The season started in November and it's February and he FINALLY showed up.

Vinsanity ain't back!

Its funny. I remember when they got carter everybody on here was talking about what a great move it was and how good it would make the Magic this year. I totally disagreed. Carter is/was on the downhill side of his career and is not the kind of player that will simply blend in to a situation.

The Magic are on pace to win fewer games have a lower ORTG and a Higher DRTG than last year.

I really liked the Vince acquisition and I still do. Pretty much the same way I like Shaq in Cleveland. For both moves, I said that there would be growing pains and that the moves might make them a worse regular season team. But I think both moves gives each team a better shot to win it all. Who cares if you win 65 games but don't matchup well with the other playoff teams? Some teams are engineered as "regular season teams" like even the powerhouse Suns back in the day.

The Magic simply had no shot against the Lakers....when it came down to it, noone could create their own shot easily...which is so important in the playoffs...and why usually superstars trump "team play" in the playoffs. They might not be as good of a "team" but they definitely need Vince if they are gonna win it all.

More than Vince's play...the Magic have two problems. They aren't defending nearly as well (can't blame that on Vince, as Hedo is an even worse defender) and the more minor issue I see is that I don't particularly see a leader on the team. Thats partially on Vince and partially on Dwight as well. The only problem I see with VInce is that he's just not a "winner".....so maybe that negatively affects the Magic? I dunno. But from a basketball perspective, I think it was actually pretty critical they get someone that can create off the dribble for themselves and for others and at least Vince can do that.

Hedo fit better in this system. Does that mean Hedo is the better player no, and we can look at Toronto to see that. I think that with a healthy Jameer Nelson and an Improved bench they would have been able to compete.
