Kick. Ass.

Stat line for today:
22/36(61.1%), 276 yds, 4 TDs, 0 INTs, 122.0 QBRtg

27 TDs, 26 INTs for the season lol

Sorta my 2nd thread on the subject but I'm just so excited :D!

on a side note: Matt Forte did not gain 1,000 yards for the season

for this season he has:

929 rushing yds on 258 carries, 3.4 avg, 4 TDs

471 receiving yds, 57 catches, 8.3 avg, 0 TDs

This was his 5th game with a QBRtg of over 100, Orton only had 3 in 2 seasons with the bears.

This offseason should be fun, can't wait.

terrible average for Forte, though the offensive line does suck. Same for Cutler; bad o-line probably led to some picks, but still, 26 INTS is awfule

poor route running doesn't help and let to a lot of picks.. and the bears killed forte in his first season the entire offense ran thru him so of course he's gonna slow down a lot he took a beating last year. I don't know if he will ever be the same the Bears most likely killed his career with the way we used him.

according to chris mortensen from ESPN, only 3 of cutlers picks were the wide receivers faults. So 23 picks....still terrible. And i think forte will be good again once da bears get a better offensive line. Guys like AP and SJax had more carries than Forte last year and they are still going strong, so there is no reason why a young guy like forte can't bounce back and be succesful once the talent around him gets better.

Yeah maybe they had more carries. but more then 70% of the offense was put on Forte he took a pounding last year, and its basically the same line as last year so I don't know if I 100% agree with the comment that he will get better once he has better talent. I honestly think they worked him too hard his first year and he felt the affects this year. SJax doesn't have a great line he's just a beast. AP and Sjax are one of a kind. The O-Line needs a lot of help with need to bring in Makins and a lot more. Pace was a terrible signing and was a joke all season long.

I don't think only 3 of his INTS were caused by the wide-outs. Yes 23 is still a terrible number no one can deny that. But I've watched a lot of the games this season and Bennett has caused at least 4 of them because he is an awful route runner. Hester is also terrible probably one of the worst wide-outs in the game, I love the guy he's fast as hell but he needs to be on special teams or be the number 3 option at the most.

they need to sign some reliable lineman and a big wide reciever. Bennett, Hester, and Knox are all more suited to a 2nd or 3rd string role. The Bears need a big target who isn't afraid to run across the middle.

Agree we are lacking that. We have speed but thats not always an advantage at Wide-Out. It will be interesting off-season Turner has to go and the whole O-Line needs to be re done. I think the D is okay especially if Urlacher comes back healthy and we don't lose him the first game of the season.

Aromashodu is coming into his own which is nice he is finally getting playing time as long as he stays healthy he will be a big target. But we still need someone else.

I agree, except for the defense part. The Bears have a bad secondary. If the line backing crew is healthy and the pass rush is effective, then the secondary's weakness wouldn't be such an issue. But with Urlacher out and a weak pass rush, the secondary is toast by itself. They need to sign a cover guy or a good safety.

Mediocre offensive line. Young receivers. New system.

What you've seen these last couple of weeks is more of what you can expect from Cutler next season. He's a bit of a gambler, though, so he'll throw a frustrating interception now and then.

People have been trashing Cutler all year, but this kid is going to be a freakin' stud. The Bears have locked up a franchise quarterback for the next decade. Denver will dink and dunk with Orton for another season or two, and then go through a slough of other guys, trying to find their franchise QB. I'm still pissed about that trade.

He ended on a very good note and I look for them to have something figured out come next season, I look for them to be a contender in the North next year.
