Chris Chase, A Yahoo sports blogger says it's ok to leave after the big game without congardulating the Saints. He also said when James did it it's ok. I don't know how all are brought up. But I was always told to congradulate the winners.Mr.Chase says that's"little leauge". No....it's SPORTMANSHIP. Only Manning would be so selfish. Wich is another reason why I'm glad they loss.

Drew Brees actually said that Manning gave him and the Saints a call to congradulate them. Before I heard that I was thinkin bad sportsmanship too but I think he just needed a few minutes to get his thoughts straight.

Manning was mad that he lost the game. Who wouldn't be? I'm sure Manning didn't mean it to be a "screw you" to the Saints.

I think MJ is the cockiest piece of shit to play in the NBA, but those few times that he fell short to the Pistons in the playoffs he ALWAYS went and congratulated each of them (though they absolute beat the shit of him when he drove the lane).

Mostly everyone is cocky when they that good. And MJ didn't cause those losses. Sure he missed shots and had turnovers but he always played good enough to win.

Wow. Thats not selfish. Last time i checked the Saints were busy jumping up and down celebrating with eachother. A player should not have to wait and watch that.

99% of ppl who have played in the championship have watched and waited in order to give their congratulations, i guess LBJ and Manning dont have to though, right? Michael Jordan did it every time, and he was the cockiest pos in the game.

Did you not listen to Mannings response? He said he remembers it when they won it. he said "The field was the Saints" and that it was their time to celebrate.

Personally even if he just walked out on a normal game i still wouldnt care. I wouldnt care if anybody does it in any game. Since when is winning not enough for a team? they need the team they beat to come tell them they did a good job? No, they won. They already know that.

Regular season game, i dont care...in the playoffs when they just put you out in an extremely hard fought game, im about tradition. At least im consistent though. If Romo did it i would be furious.

Classless? Not at all... how can you expect him to try and fight his way through a crowd of hundreds of players and personnel to give a hand shake? This probably happens more often than not after a Super Bowl in the NFL but people want to nit pick because it's Peyton Manning.

Do you think Drew Brees or any of the Saints players really cared or even thought about that? Nope...

The Lebron situation was one thing... but this doesn't compare. Peyton did nothing wrong...

Did they? Then yeah, its just stupid not to...obviously you dont want to do it, but you lost, man up and congratulate the other team and then leave.

I think the SB and the events surrounding the post game is a bit of a different story. There are so many media outlets in addition to the stage being set up on the field that I think in most cases unless they are right there, the losing team/coaches just make their way off the field. I don't have a problem with it and we would have likely never heard about it had it not been for the media trying to portray something that isn't really a big deal. Also, Peyton called and congratulated them afterward. It's really nothing to make a big deal out of regardless of who it is.

People need to stop with this... Do you watch the mayhem that ensues after the final seconds come off the clock? The winning team is going crazy, you have the media and the press coming from every which way, and to top it off a maitenence crew of probably 100 people scrambles to get a stage ready for the trophy presentation...

Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne didn't disrespect anyone...

I dont know if you saw the field after the Saints won but it was jammed packed. I wouldnt have tried to fight through all that. I would let them soak in the moment give my congrats in press conference but then of course maybe after the game find breese and some of the Saints players and say congrats which im sure Manning did

After you lose the Superbowl and 2,000 media nut jobs are rushing the field, you just wanna get the hell out of there. He probably should have found Drew and gave him a man hug but whatever. I am sure he will call him or congratulate him when they are playing golf in a few weeks. When you are a class guy like Peyton you can get away with that, but the guys who are complete pricks like Belicheck are the guys who are classless poor sports.

Manning is still a better quarterback.

I don't really think Brees did much that game in my opinion.
