I initially was gonna do an entire 1st round mock but I have school and other things so I'll do the 1st round in 3 parts and try to get it all done today and do a 2nd round the same way by Monday

1-St. Louis Rams- Jimmy Clausen, QB Notre Dame- Had you asked me about this pick at the end of December or even earlier on in January I would have said that Jimmy Clausen was a lock to go 1st overall to the Rams. I'm not so confident about that anymore, there have been rumblings in the early stages of Senior Bowl week that the Rams are really excited about Suh and haven't taken a good look at Clausen yet. They desperately need a QB after getting their franchise LT last year with the 2nd overall pick though so I still think it could all be smoke and mirrors in hopes of finding a trade partner.

2-Detroit Lions- Ndamukong "I live in your backfield" Suh, DT Nebraska- This is a no brainer if the Rams take Clausen than the Lions take Suh without a doubt addressing one of their biggest needs with the best player in the 2010 draft. Suh may look undersized but that's because of the great muscle definition he has for a DT. Think Kevin Williams, he's bigger than he looks and he looks big already. Despite all the comparisons to Reggie White I read I still can't put any lineman on that level out of college. White is probably the only 300 pounder we may ever see run a 40 yd dash in 4.6 seconds, he was truly an athletic freak. If the Rams go Suh like many think they will this pick will be either Eric Berry or Gerald McCoy.

3- Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Gerald McCoy, DT Oklahoma- Again a no brainer if Clausen is the 1st pick because it makes Suh the 2nd and that leaves Tampa with only one choice here. McCoy helps a terrible Tampa D-line, if Suh goes 1 and McCoy 2 than this pick is likely Eric Berry although it's very hard to remember a time a DB went in the top 3 picks if its ever happened....

4- Washington Redskins- Sam Bradford QB, Oklahoma- Still my favorite QB of the bunch and despite a certain member's view on Jason Campbell (which I tend to share) the Redskins and more specifically Mike Shanahan don't seem to to view Campbell in the same light.

5- Kansas City Chiefs- Russell Okung OT, Oklahoma State- My #1 rated tackle and Kansas Cities #1 need. Simply protecting their investment here, I know some will say "well shouldn't the Lions do the same?", the Lions biggest need on the O-line is at guard, a position that can be addressed in rounds 2 and 3 with ease in this class.

6- Seattle Seahawks- Eric "all I do is make plays" Berry, Tennessee- Seattle wins the lottery essentially here, getting Berry at 6 is a boost to a bad secondary that may have only been missing a play maker at safety. An upgrade for Lucas is probably required also but Berry helps it immensely. If Clausen or Bradford are available than one of them may be chosen here.

7- Cleveland Browns- Joe Haden, CB Florida- Cleveland gets a shutdown corner, and boosts its defense overall with the addition of Hadden who is also a hell of a player when it comes to run support. He's in that Leon Hall mode, and that is a definite compliment.

8- Oakland Raiders- Taylor Mays, SS USC- Al Davis loves athletes and they don't get much more athletic. I hate this pick but I'm trying to project and this just looks like and Al Davis pick. Most GMs pass on Taylor Mays until the 2nd round at least but Al isn't most GMs. I would take Bruce Campbell here if I was Al Davis just for the record.

9- Buffalo Bills- Bruce Campbell, OT Maryland- The Bills had a revolving door all year at the tackle positions and have to solidify the spot. Campbell is probably the most athletic tackle in the class and will have quick splits in every combine drill. He may also end up being the best O-lineman to come out of this class.

10- Jacksonville Jaguars- Derrick Morgan, DE Georgia Tech- The teams biggest needs on the field are a pass rusher and a corner, and Derrick Morgan fits that bill. But the teams biggest need overall is selling tickets and the pick that is probably most capable of doing that is Tim Tebow. For now it'll be Morgan but this pick could very well end up being Tim Tebow.

11- Denver Broncos- Rolando McClain, ILB Alabama- Yes Brandon Marshall may leave and yes that would mean a glaring hole at WR but for now Marshall is still a Bronco and a restricted free agent after that. And besides with how cocky McDaniels has been what makes you think that he thinks he needs anyone to makes his offense succeed? Also to justify this to the masses for Marshall to sign elsewhere would likely mean a qualifying offer made by the Broncos just so he doesn't get away for free (unless they really are that stupid) and with the right qualifying offer either Marshall stays because nobody wants to match it and give up the draft picks involved with signing him or the Broncos receive another 1st round pick from the team that signs Marshall as compensation, thus giving them a shot at WR later on in the 1st round. Either way to me this pick is McClain.

First off, I dont think the Rams can pass on Suh. Second, I dont think Clausen goes ahead of Bradford

That's fine your opinion, like I said I was much more confident of the Clausen pick earlier on but I still believe now that Clausen still has to be the favorite, I'm also pretty much certain that Clausen goes ahead of Bradford.

I mean it is just my opinion, I can def see it going this way too. I just dont know how they can pass on such a dominate DT

They said the same thing last year about Detroit and how they couldn't pass on such a dominate OT (Jason Smith) and OLB (Aaron Curry) but they did because in the NFL now a QB means so much and it makes financial sense also. It turned out well for the Lions as neither Curry nor Smith had the immediate impact everyone was expecting. It's also because the QB class is so shallow, after Clausen and Bradford there's nobody that really projects as a solid starter and the DT class is extremely deep this year so the Rams have to like their chances at a solid starter at DT in the 2nd more than they do a of a solid starter at QB at the same point.

But I just dont really see Clausen as being the same caliber of QB as some past guys like Stafford or Ryan. I wouldnt wanna waste my top pick and a lot of money on a QB that isnt a slam dunk

I can get that but your saying this about Ryan now. Before his rookie year Ryan was looked at as a decent prospect not the other worldly like prospect he was perceived as in his rookie year. Nothing is a slam dunk in a draft and plenty of positions bust out of that #1 spot.

I like it. I get the whole Al Davis thing, but I really, really, really, don't think he's that dumb to take Mays. Everything I've read currently is that his man/man coverage is horrendous, and odds are he will be switched to an OLB.

Other than that I have no beef.

I could have told you how horrendous his instincts and ball skills are but I could very well see Al making that pick. Mays would make a pretty good LB if he put on like 15-20 lbs. I'm having a hard time projecting a draft slot for Mays and right now that seems like the best spot, after the Raiders pick the next best spot I could see him going is to Seattle with that second pick because of the Carroll connection now. In reality though I'm most comfortable with placing him in the second round.

Personally I have Mays falling to the 20+ stage. Still in the 1st round but near the last 1/3 of the 1st.

I can see that happening very easily too. Like I said he's been hard for me to project.

No doubt. He's hard to project for anyone. Just not sure if teams will bite on him if he can't play safety.

That's exactly it, he can play safety though in the right system, he'll just be a safety on par with Roy Williams.

I hope this happens so that the Cowboys could make a run at Bryant or Benn. I have a feeling Thomas isn't going to make it to them.

They'll have a shot at Benn, Bryant makes it only as far as the Ravens. I see the Cowboys going after Mike Iupati or an O-lineman though.

I would love to have Iupati. I'm happy if they take a G/T or Benn, Bryant, or Thomas.

The closer it gets to the draft, the least likely it seems we get Thomas. He was the guy I wanted the most since he is the perfect fit for our FS position. We have needed a playmaking FS that is good at playing the pass for quite some time.

Raiders take Carlos Dunlap. I'm calling it right now. It shouldn't happen, but I have a feeling it will.

Besides that, I pretty much agree with your Mock. Though, I think the Jaguars will select Tebow primarily as a ticket seller.

Neither am I. I've been flip-flopping back and forth between Tebow and a couple other players.

I have to wait for the combine but I can see Tebow, Morgan or Jason Pierre-Paul going to the Jags right now. Someone may pop up during the process though. JPP also has the athletic ability to catch Al Davis' eye and it would actually be a good pick for Davis if he picked him. I think Campbell is the right pick for the Raiders though.

Like I said above I'm not as confident in it as I was before but would still put my money on that being the pick.

I don't think there's any way Clausen is the number one pick in the draft.
