The Dallas Stars will recall Avery on Monday, making him subject to re-entry waivers. Any team can claim him (selection order goes from worst to first) and would only be responsible for half his salary and cap hit. Unless someone shocks the hockey World, he will be selected by the New York Rangers and will attempt to breathe some life back into the sagging blue shirts.

As expected, Sean Avery went on waivers today. The New York Rangers have sent Mark Bell to the minors to make room on their roster and are shopping Aaron Voros.

Avery will be claimed by New york before tomorrow's deadline and will be playing for the team by the weekend.
